"Getting your child “school ready” is often a hot topic amongst parents. It is hard not to feel overwhelmed and anxious about if you are doing enough to prepare your child for such a huge milestone. Fear not, Learning Blocks have launched some amazing subscription boxes for children aged 3-5years, to support parents and their children through a range of skills that will help them become school ready. I am blown away by the range and quality of each activity in the busy box. A total of 12 activities each containing skills to gain confidence in several learning and development areas. These activities are fun, hands-on and can be used at your child’s pace. My little one has fallen in love with their box and cannot wait to complete each activity. The themes are engaging and help parents to extend the skills further if they wish. Throughout each activity, I felt completely supported with easy to use instructions and a parent guide included. If you are looking for a subscription box that not only your child enjoys, but they gain valuable skills preparing them for school, then Learning Blocks' Busy Little Boxes are perfect."
"As a teacher I know the huge benefits of fine motor activities for children. At first I was slightly hesitant to purchase a box because my daughter is only 2.5 years old, but she has loved every single one of the activities so far. I honestly expected 2-3 activities but there was enough to last us a few weeks. They can all be adapted to suit her needs and get her fingers working. I enjoyed that there was a theme and all of the resources were consistent. We can’t wait for our next box"
"After receiving the Little Busy Boxes Fine Motor box my little one was sorted for engaging fine motor activities for days. The activity box included everything that we needed to complete each activity. Each of the activities were different and engaging for my little one. I would definitely recommend the Little Busy Boxes especially for parents who are not sure where to start or who are time poor."
"From the moment we opened our Busy Little Box it was clear just how much time and effort had gone into making these fabulous boxes. Every activity was clearly labeled with a photo, instructions for parents and all the materials required and ready to go. Our School Readiness box contained a mix of art and craft activities as well on hands-on activities, all of which promote the development of fine motor skills, hand strength, and coordination. My four year old couldn't wait to start working through the activities and I was able to extend her learning with the extension suggestions on each activity card. If you're looking for a subscription box to help prepare your little one for their start to school, then Busy Little Boxes by Learning Blocks are exactly what you need."
"I was really impressed with the quantity of the activities into the box. It couldn’t have arrived at a better time. I have been feeling so spread thin lately. It’s so hard as a Mum to find a balance between getting the chores done and spending quality time with the kids and lately I feel we have been spending too much time in front of the Television. I want to be the fun Mum that does arts and crafts but it can be hard finding a fun activity and gathering all the supplies (not to mention expensive). I love that everything we needed was contained in the box. There’s nothing worse than setting time aside to do something and realising you don’t have everything you need. Caitlin was so excited to build and fly the plane, the talking prompts provided as part of the activity made it not only fun but educational too."
These boxes have been carefully designed by a qualified teacher and mum, to encourage the development of your child’s fine motor skills.
Fine motor skills are those that involve the use of the small muscles in the hand, fingers and thumb. With the development of these skills, a child will be able to complete important and day to day tasks such as opening lunch boxes and drink bottles, dressing and undressing (zips, buttons and clips), using cutlery and cleaning teeth. They are also crucial for academic skills like writing, cutting, pasting, drawing and colouring.
Fine motor skill development starts at different ages for each child, but the aim of Learning Blocks’ Busy Little Boxes, is to engage children between the ages of 3 and 5 years old in various fun activities that help to work these fine motor skills at an age-appropriate level.
Each month you will see new and exciting activities with a new theme running throughout.
Apart from your scissors, everything you need is in the box, including instructions and tips for parents to ensure your child is getting the most out of each activity.
